Thinking About Treatment in
India? Start Here.

Real answers to what patients and families from Africa and Europe ask us before
taking this step costs, visas, hospitals, accreditation, and how MedTourIn
supports you throughout.

Getting Started

MedTourIn is a medical tourism concierge platform that connects international patients with accredited hospitals in India. We coordinate every stage of the journey from your first inquiry to visa support, hospital admission, and follow-up care so you don’t have to navigate it alone.

We’re neither. MedTourIn is an independent service – we don’t own or operate hospitals. Our job is to match you with the right hospital and specialist for your condition, and manage the logistics around your treatmen

We primarily support patients from West and East Africa — including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and Uganda as well as patients from the UK and Europe seeking alternatives to long wait times or high treatment costs at home.

Submit an inquiry through our website or WhatsApp with your diagnosis and medical reports. Our team reviews your case, recommends suitable hospitals and specialists, and provides a personalised cost estimate — typically within 48 hours.

No. Your initial consultation and cost estimate are free. MedTourIn’s service fee applies only once you decide to proceed with treatment coordination.

Costs & Payments

Most patients save 60–80% compared to treatment costs in the US, UK, or Western Europe, depending on the procedure. We provide an itemised, personalised estimate for your specific case before you travel actual savings vary by treatment and hospital.

You pay the hospital directly for your medical treatment, and you pay MedTourIn separately for our concierge and coordination services. This separation is intentional — it keeps hospital billing transparent and directly between you and your care provider.

Our fee covers case coordination, hospital and specialist matching, visa invitation letter support, appointment scheduling, and in-country logistics coordination. Optional extras like tours, cab bookings, or medicine delivery are quoted separately.

Initial estimates are based on your reports and diagnosis. Hospitals may revise costs if your treating specialist finds your condition requires a different procedure once you’re examined in person. We flag this possibility upfront so there are no surprises.

Hospitals & Treatment Quality

Yes.
Every hospital in our network holds JCI and/or NABH accreditation — the same international quality benchmarks used to certify hospitals in the US and Europe.

Yes. We recommend hospitals and specialists based on your condition, but the final choice is yours. If you already have a hospital in mind, let us know and we’ll coordinate directly with them where possible.

We cover 25+ specialties including oncology, cardiology, orthopaedics, neurology, organ transplants, and fertility/IVF, across common procedures and complex or rare conditions. Browse our full Treatments page for details.

These are exactly the cases we’re built for. We route complex and rare-condition cases to specialist tumour boards and centres of excellence in India that handle these procedures regularly, and give you an honest assessment of your options.

No responsible medical tourism service can guarantee outcomes, and neither can we. We connect you with accredited, qualified specialists and coordinate logistics but all clinical decisions and outcomes are between you and your treating hospital.

Travel & Visa

Yes — most international patients apply for India’s e-Medical Visa (M-Visa). MedTourIn arranges the required hospital invitation letter and guides you through the online application at no extra charge.

The hospital invitation letter typically takes 2–5 business days once your hospital and specialist are confirmed, and e-Medical Visa processing takes another 3–7 business days. We recommend starting the process as early as possible.

Yes. Up to two blood-relative attendants can apply on an MX (Medical Attendant) Visa alongside you, with a stay period matching yours.

We help source serviced apartments and patient guesthouses near your hospital, and can arrange cab bookings for local transport. We don’t book international flights directly, but we advise on routes and timing around your treatment schedule.

India’s e-Medical Visa allows an initial 60-day stay and can be extended up to 6 months via the FRRO for longer treatments such as chemotherapy or post-transplant recovery. MedTourIn supports you through the extension process.

Safety, Language & Support

Yes, English is the working language of medicine in India’s major hospitals — doctors, nurses, and coordinators at our partner hospitals communicate fluently in English. French-speaking support is available at select facilities.

Yes. Your information is shared only with the hospital and specialists coordinating your treatment, and never with third parties without your consent. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

MedTourIn coordinates airport pickup, hospital admission, and a local SIM card on arrival. Our team stays reachable throughout your treatment for any coordination needs — medication, follow-up appointments, or logistics.

The MedTourIn app keeps your family informed with treatment progress updates, document uploads, and direct messaging with your coordinator so they’re not left waiting for news.

Post-treatment follow-up is one of the five stages of our patient journey. We help coordinate follow-up consultations, reports, and — where relevant — medication delivery, so your care doesn’t stop the day you fly home.

App access is provided once your intake and initial planning are complete it runs alongside your case from there, so you and your family can track progress at every stage.
